Simple New Year Intention Setting
We’re already two weeks into the new year and personally, I have been taking this time to relax and settle into the energy of 2025. No rush, no pressure — just observing, feeling and letting myself adjust before setting my intentions. If you’ve been easing into the year too, now or soon may be the moment to start thinking about your intentions.
Reflection on 2024
Before diving into goals for the year ahead, it’s worth pausing to look back on the one just passed. Reflection doesn’t need to be a deep, overwhelming process — it can be simple, intuitive and gratifying.
What is one word or theme that sums up your 2024?
What is something you’re proud of achieving or creating?
What challenges expanded you and what did you learn from them?
Who were your ‘people’ this year?
2024 was part of my saturn return: a time for building and dismantling, chaos and creation. It was the most exhausting yet adventurous year of my life, filled with self-discovery through big trials, big errors, big endings and huge new beginnings. It was a process of seeing my best and worst traits in extremes — forcing me to shed old layers, enter a void, move through the fear of being in the void, then come out the other side with epic strength and self-awareness.
Setting Intentions for 2025
This year, my focus is on completion, simplicity and mastery — finishing what I’ve started and savoring the process.
What about you? Think about the word or theme that feels like it captures where you want to go. What is your guiding light for 2025? From there, you can start to shape smaller intentions in the areas that matter most to you. Think: family, career, relationships, health, home, self-development, or wherever your focus naturally flows. These aren’t rigid resolutions but gentle reminders of how you want to show up.
Journal Prompts
What is one word or theme that feels resonant for 2025?
What intentions can you set for key areas of your life: family, relationships, career, health, self-development etc.
How can you bring these intentions into your everyday? (I bought a mini white board to map out my week and weirdly think it might change my life)
I suggest doing this ritual with a cup of tea, snuggled up on your couch or bed! If you’re reading this, I am excited for your year and hope it is wonderful.
With love,
Anna
